We specialise in 18th and 19th century ceramics including Worcester, Newhall, A.E. Kealing, Derby, Swansea and Nantgarw, along with stocking a selection of Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and art nouveau/arts and crafts silver, metalware and small furniture. We also deal in fully serviced vintage watches and vintage fountain pens and write/publish antique related books.
You can visit us at Salts Mill the world heritage site in West Yorkshire, where we have a dealer room at Carlton Antiques Centre. We also sell antiques online via our our Antiques Atlas shop, our Selling Antiques shop, our Love Antiques shop, exhibitions and stands at Antique Fairs.

Penrose Antiques Ltd is currently publishing a series of short guides focusing on the different genres of Antique. Current titles include the following books
Our First short guides to antiques, “Charles Horner” currently available as a paperback (ISBN 9783741852275) and as an e-book (ISBN: 9783741852503) is the first in our series of Penrose Antiques Ltd short guides to antiques.
Our second short guide “William Billingsley the Enigmatic Porcelain Artist Decorator and Manufacturer” focuses on the life and works of William Billingsley as his career developed from working as an apprentice at Derby in 1774, through to him establishing his own porcelain works in Nantgarw and his eventual move to Coalport, where he died 1828. This book will be available as a paper back (ISBN: 9783741868078) and an e-book (ISBN: 9783741868023).
Nantgarw Porcelain: The Pursuit of Perfection, ISBN: 978-0-244-90654-2 was published on 9 May 2017. This book reviews the establishment of the Nantgarw factory, the characteristics of the wares it produced, describes a newly discovered Nantgarw dinner service and summarises the pitfalls involved in the identification of unmarked Nantgarw porcelain. An eBook version will be released by the middle of June 2017.
Swansea Porcelain. The Duck-Egg Translucent Vision of Lewis Dillwyn, ISBN:9780244325787 was published on the 11 August 2017. This book containing 31 colour illustrations overviews the history of the Swansea porcelain manufactury from its inception to eventual closure, the ornamental wares produced at the Swansea works, the early Swansea ware and the marks found on Swansea porcelain. The text also provides themed frameworks for establishing a collection of Swansea porcelain.
